Visit to Milan and Venice, taly

I spent my last day in Milan
going around the plaza
near the Duomo cathedral
and some other parts of the city.
There are a number of interesting sculptures in the city. There is the giant skeleton just
beside the cathedral. There are also the
post-modernist ones.

This is the church which has a chapel by its side
where The Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci
can be viewed. Unfortunately, because it is such
a small place, the number of viewers per day
is restricted. One has to book in advance to be
able to enter the chapel. As I was in Milan for
just a week, I could not make it to the list.

This is the exterior of the church.

Inside, this is how the main altar looks like.

This is the entrance of the chapel, inside one can view The Last Supper.

One last visit to the Duomo cathedral.
Outside, following the model of St.
Mark's in Venice, tourists pose with
the hundreds of pigeons.

The monument of the Emperor in front of the National Library and in front of their National Museum.

The facade of the magnificent
Duomo Cathedral of Milan.

From Milan, I took the train to Venice.
This photo is in front of the main
train terminal just before one boards
the ferry boat to the center of Venice.

One of the few bridges connecting the various sections of Venice, early in the morning.

Scenes along the main canal
as tourists take the ferry
boat towards the center
of Venice.

Just before reaching the last ferry
boat station that would take me
to the Redemptorist house in
Venice.
